Can an existing awning have new fabric put on?
In many cases, yes. If the awning came from RC and the mechanism is in good working order, we can usually replace the fabric only. If the awning is not one of ours, we may be limited in what we can do.
Can retractable awnings withstand heavy rain or strong winds?
Retractable awnings are designed to provide shade and light rain protection. However, they are not built to withstand heavy rain or strong winds, as these conditions can damage the fabric or mechanism. For safety, it’s best to retract your awning during inclement weather.
What maintenance is required to keep my awning in good condition?
Regular maintenance is minimal but important. Brush off dirt and debris, clean the fabric with mild soap and water, and check the frame and mechanism for any wear or damage. Retracting the awning when not in use and during bad weather will also extend its lifespan.
